Top games with cool graphics on PC. Computer games with the best graphics

18.10.2019

Hi all. For you, I have selected the top 16 most beautiful games on PC, with beautiful and atmospheric graphics and an amazing world.

Bioshock series

Release date: 2007-2013

The Bioshock games are sci-fi first-person shooters with RPG elements. The series is the spiritual successor to System Shock and draws many gameplay elements from there, but is not connected to it plot-wise. All three parts of Bioshock were created on the improved Unreal Engine 3, which even by today's standards (and the first part of the series was released almost 10 years ago) produces very solid graphics. The main difference between all games is the atmosphere. In the first two parts we explore the underwater world. Infinite flying city

The gameplay in all parts of Bioshock is strongly “involved” in the use of so-called “Plasmids”, with the help of which the hero can obtain certain superpowers (telekinesis, electric shock, etc.). There are also RPG-like improvements to both the character's abilities and his weapons. In terms of graphics, all parts of the game look very beautiful, and not least of all, the unique style of the surrounding world plays a role here.

Crysis series

Release date: 2007-2013

Genre: first person shooter

Sci-fi first-person shooters with incredibly beautiful graphics, in which the main characters in special exosuits fight both people and aliens. All parts of the series are made in the style of the so-called “Sandbox”, when the player can choose where to go or who to attack. Moreover, the plot here is completely linear.

The very first Crysis actually made a revolution in graphics (in order for the game to run at maximum speed, very powerful hardware with Windows Vista installed on it was required), while the third part, in which the developers used their new CryEngine 3 engine, looks even more gorgeous and easily displays the most modern graphic effects on the screen.

Dear Esther

Release date: 2012

Game only for PlayStation 3 and 4 platforms

Some of us- An incredibly beautiful and atmospheric game made in the action-adventure genre with elements of stealth and survival horror. According to the plot, the cordyceps fungus has dangerously mutated and infected most of humanity, turning it into some kind of zombie. In the center of the story is the smuggler Joel and the girl Ellie, who must cross the continent, constantly encountering both victims of the epidemic and equally dangerous looters, bandits, cannibals, etc.

The game is characterized by high complexity and a shortage of ammunition, traditional for the survival horror genre. Often it is generally better to avoid meeting enemies than to go ahead. The project received a lot of positive reviews, and most recently it was announced that a sequel was in preparation. The largest resources and publications gave the game maximum ratings. Most critics agreed that projects of this level are released very, very rarely, which means that it is definitely worth playing.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

Release date: 2014

Games of the quest genre today do not enjoy the popularity that they had before, however, even now they include decent, atmospheric and incredibly beautiful projects. Such projects include The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, the plot of which tells about the adventures of a private detective with mystical powers who goes in search of a missing boy.

Our protagonist’s investigation leads him to a town called “Red Brook Valley,” where some kind of devilry is going on. Actually, this is what you have to figure out. The game boasts very beautiful graphics and a completely open world in which (with rare artificial restrictions) you can travel. The game does not lead you by the hand, but invites you to explore the world on your own and solve the puzzles that arise. Inspect crime scenes, create a chronology of events and finally figure out what is happening in this small remote town.

Never Alone

Release date: 2014

An incredibly stylish and atmospheric indie game, made in the genre of a puzzle platformer and designed for both one and two players. The game features two characters - a girl and an arctic fox, between whom you can switch at any time. Together, the heroes overcome obstacles and solve puzzles, with each character having their own unique abilities and skills.

Get ready to visit dangerous locations in the Arctic - from the tundra to the mysterious forest. Meet blizzards, stormy winds and deceptive mountains, as well as representatives of Inupiat folklore: the Murderer, little people, helping spirits, etc. You can complete the game either by yourself or in the company of a second player, even if you started independent passage, a second player can join you at any time.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Release date: 2015

Another game from the Tomb Raider series, in which the main character goes to Siberia, where she will have to fight with members of the secret Trinity order, as well as various wild animals, and find a valuable artifact. In terms of gameplay, the game copies the previous part of the series, but the technical component has been significantly improved (for example, the animation has been redesigned, becoming even smoother and more realistic).

In addition to acrobatics and battles, the game contains many puzzles that vary in difficulty. In addition, there are elements of survival here, in particular, Lara will constantly have to obtain various resources for herself and create new equipment. Many puzzles are multi-step, often based on the use of physics. Some of the puzzles exactly copy tasks from previous parts (a kind of tribute to the classic Tomb Raider games).

Ori and the Blind Forest

Release date: 2015

An incredibly colorful indie platformer released on the free Unity engine. The player takes control of Ori, a fabulous snow-white creature that resembles a cross between a fox, a squirrel and a wild cat. You can also play as Sein, a protective spirit who constantly revolves around Ori. And if Ori initially only knows how to jump (and subsequently learn to climb walls, soar in the air and dive under water), then Sein is able to attack enemies with the help of so-called “Spiritual Flame Charges”.

Game locations are various parts of the forest in which the player can go wherever he wants. However, if a certain area has not yet been opened, the player will not be able to get there. Interestingly, there is no training or tutorial in the game, so you will have to figure everything out on your own (when Ori finds Sein, you can get some tips from him).

Just Cause 3

Release date: 2015

An excellent third-person action game with excellent graphics and a completely open world in which the player controls Rico Rodriguez, an agent who must confront the dictator General Sebastiano di Ravello. In fact, the game uses all the successful gameplay developments from previous parts, significantly improving their mechanics and implementation. Creating chaos on a fictional island has become much more interesting and fun.

In fact, many critics gave this project high marks for its wide possibilities for creating chaos. Among the negative aspects, poor optimization and a number of technical problems were noted, which, however, were corrected by patches. It is also worth noting the destructibility of objects. The main character can not only destroy people and equipment and houses, but also, for example, bridges or statues.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate

Release date: 2015

An exciting action game with excellent graphics and a completely open world. The game tells the story of events that took place in the Stone Age, and the main character is a prehistoric hunter named Takkar, whose tribe was destroyed. Now our protagonist travels through the country of Urus, hoping to avenge his people and find a new home.

The game lacks the usual weapons and vehicles. Since the game takes place in prehistoric times, we will have access to spears, clubs, bows, etc., which we also need to craft ourselves, using available materials for this. There is also the possibility of taming wild animals, which can both attack the enemy and play the role of a scout. It is also worth noting that all dialogues are written in a primitive language, which can only be understood with the help of subtitles. This is done to make players more immersed in what is happening on the screen.

Quantum Break

Release date: 2016

Genre: third person shooter,

An original first-person shooter, the gameplay of which involves time manipulation. According to the plot, an experiment with time was conducted at the fictional American university Riverport, which ended extremely unsuccessfully. As a result, the main characters of the game discovered superpowers (for example, our main protagonist Jack Johnson learned to stop time).

The developers approached the plot, and especially time travel, as responsibly as possible, hiring a consultant from CERN who explained to them some aspects of classical and quantum physics. In general, the project was received very warmly. The game has excellent graphics, and everything that happens on the screen is very cinematic.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Release date: 2016

Genre: first person shooter,

A first-person cyberpunk action game with elements of role-playing and stealth, which is a continuation of Deus Ex: Human Revolution (two years have passed since the events of the original game). In general, the game uses all the same mechanics as in the previous part, and the real changes affected only the combat system, in which an automatically replenished energy scale now appeared (previously, energy reserves had to be found).

In general, Mankind Divided is a kind of “work on the mistakes” made in the last part of the game. So, for example, if in Human Revolution bosses could only be killed, then in this part it became possible to pass them undetected. Graphically the game looks very bright. The palette is dominated by black and gold colors. The environment is very elaborate and detailed.

Watch Dogs 2

Release date: 2016

Genre: stealth action, open world

An action-adventure game with cutting-edge graphics and a completely open world, which tells the story of hacking and hacking activities in San Francisco. According to the plot, the main character Marcus Holloway, who arrived in San Francisco, teams up with like-minded people from the DedSec group to confront greedy corporations and their puppets in high-ranking positions.

Unlike the previous part, the game contains many gameplay innovations. For example, the hacking system was updated, new high-tech gadgets appeared, and parkour was significantly improved. The project turned out to be head and shoulders above its predecessor, largely thanks to the impressive work on bugs. Many publications that gave Watch Dogs high marks noted that this is exactly what the first part should have been.

Beautiful online games

Panzar: Forged by Chaos

Release date: 2012

Don’t forget about leveling up and customizing your characters. The latter, by the way, is carried out through painting things, where each equipped item can be repainted at your discretion. And of course, don’t forget about clans, as well as weekly activities that allow you to receive especially valuable in-game items for defeating your opponents!

Royal Quest

Release date: 2012

MMORPG game from the creators of “Space Rangers” and “Legend of the Knight”, featuring exciting gameplay and pleasant (if not the most technically advanced) animated graphics. The events of the game take place in a world where magic, technology and alchemy are closely intertwined, but this world is in danger and only we can save it!

PLAY

The game has four starting classes, fairly deep customization of the character's appearance, as well as the ability to choose one of two specializations for your class at later levels of the game. The gameplay here is based on completing quests, killing monsters, exploring dungeons and other activities traditional for the genre. However, despite some secondary nature, the game is capable of captivating, especially since the developer’s signature humor is present here in abundance.

Blade and Soul

Release date: 2013

Genre: MMORPG

A fantasy massively multiplayer role-playing game with nice graphics and traditional features for the genre. The game has four races, 10 classes, many quests, crafting, resource extraction and other activities. The developers placed the main emphasis on the e-sports component, which is developed here at the proper level. At the same time, battles between players do not take place “crowd against crowd” but in 3 on 3 and 1 on 1 formats.

PLAY

It is interesting that initially the project received mixed reviews from critics, who noted that its graphics were not the best and were somewhat secondary (i.e. the game could not surprise players with anything), however, the developers refined the engine, improved the graphics and relied on PvP battles for very real and pretty good cash prizes. Needless to say, the game instantly took off and even now there is a lot of activity on the project’s servers!

I would like to address the readers. What other beautiful games do you think are available for PC? Write in the comments. It will be interesting to know what I missed.

22.11.2018 Pavel Makarov

At the dawn of the gaming industry, gamers were amazed by the beautiful graphics in games such as Half Life, Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament. At the time of their release, these games were among the most technically advanced. But time does not stand still, and playing now hits of past years no longer has that admiration. The development of graphics in games was significantly influenced by DirectX technology, an API used to create games for the Windows operating system. Starting with DirectX 8.0, shader support appeared. Simply put, the creation of beautiful realistic pictures with visual effects was now handled by the video card processor instead of the central processor. Thanks to this technology, we have realistic graphics in modern games.

In this review, we invite you to get acquainted with the list of the best games in our opinion with beautiful graphics for the PC platform.

In addition to our list of the best games with beautiful graphics on PC, we invite you to watch other similar projects in this video review.

5 - Star Wars: Battlefront

Games with high graphics on PC continue to line up, according to the rankings.

The developers did their best for their fans and deserved 5th place. Long hours of the designers' creative process were spent photographically recreating the painting, known to everyone from many films. A player who is at least somewhat familiar with the game's setting will easily recognize the landscapes of wooded Endor or the deserted terrain of Tatooine. The engine allows you to very accurately display any gaming space that literally came off the TV screen.

The efforts were appreciated even on consoles; we don’t even need to talk about personal computers – the picture, as always, is far superior in quality. Despite the fact that compared to its competitors for the attention of players, this shooter is not the most dynamic in gameplay, this allows you to thoughtfully examine all areas of the gaming space and actually immerse yourself in the game with your head.

And how exciting the space battles and the mesmerizing cosmic emptiness itself are depicted here... If you are a current fan of the legendary setting or just want to look at the equally famous landscapes, you are welcome to play the game.

4 - Rise of the Tomb Rider

Lara Croft Tomb Raider is back. The newest part of the series deservedly takes 4th place in the top 10 games with beautiful graphics.

The developers' serious work on the game design is immediately noticeable. Excellent depiction of every feature of the game world, real tracks in the snow by which you can follow your prey. Moreover, you can keep an eye on not only four-legged animals...

The camera independently strives to demonstrate to the player the beauties of the local nature for which the game received its place in the ranking. The designers took into account the possible human need to stop for a moment and admire the scenery, so even the game can slow down its dynamics at some points.

Even the whole world looks very realistic - real mountains, forests, cars, etc. And one important fact. Here the developers left Lara's legendary breasts, added a lot of tricks... You understand where this is going, right?

3 - Bloodborne

The situation is ambiguous. The game has truly amazing graphics that are based on classic gothic principles.

Superbly drawn adversaries, forcing the player to react to them independently. Because of this, it ranks third in the ranking of games with good graphics. And here’s the minus – as soon as you decide to look at the world without doing anything, you will instantly lose your head. Everything is according to classical Gothic principles.

It turns out that there is no time to look at the beauty of the game world, even though it is involved in the gameplay. Yes, yes, looking at the location, you can immediately see the blood of former visitors on the walls, destroyed buildings, and so on. The designers did a great job and the game’s graphics fit into the game, adding atmosphere to it and immersing you deeply, deeply.

2 - Order: 1886

This game can be briefly described in these words - an interactive movie in a Gothic style. And, as in any film product, the picture is very important here. Fully justified 3rd place in our list of 10 games with the best graphics. Every smallest particle of the game world is drawn at the highest level. Any object can be seen in small details without noticing falseness.

As soon as these beautiful touches of the world begin to get boring, the game immediately corrects itself - magnificent landscapes are used, where you want to spend your life. After spending some time admiring it (and time will flow here like water), the “movie” part of the game begins.

That is, they add the cheerful dynamics of the action movie. Runs, shootouts, etc. perfectly complement everything seen earlier and harmoniously complement all components of the game. The game is unfortunately short, but the design makes you hold your breath. Besides, who knows if the game would have achieved such harmony between graphics, plot and gameplay if it had been longer?

1 - Dying Light

The top games with the best graphics on PC come to their logical end.

The first line of the rating is taken by... an ordinary zombie survivalist. True, fans of the game may accidentally kill you for this and, by the way, they will be completely right. Gameplay that accompanies quality survival, an interesting storyline that keeps the whole game in suspense, and graphics. Lively and well-developed game characters, smooth and realistic movements, real emotions.

The designers did not rest on the detailed study of the population of the game world and continued to amaze the imagination with the world itself. Standing on the roof, you can view the city without noticing the time. And moving around apartments can be very scary - an ordinary room, funny wallpaper... and blood-splattered walls, sometimes scraps of flesh.

Separately, these pieces of graphics have already been seen many times, but it has never occurred to anyone to put everything together and add excellent gameplay and story to it.

A fully deserved first place. (Fans, no need to execute us, we did everything right).

Just 15 years ago, you couldn’t even think about realism in games. Everything looked sketchy, angular and primitive. But technology does not stand still - over time, the picture acquired detail, shaders, HDR and other effects that greatly raised the quality bar appeared. More time began to be devoted to drawing the surrounding world, the physics of the objects located in it, and the notorious cinematography appeared.

Below we will look at several particularly technically advanced projects that managed to amaze gamers with their graphical component.

Ten games for PC and consoles with the most realistic graphics

Star Wars: Battlefront II

  • Platform: PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4
  • Release date: April 15, 2017
  • Developer: EA Dice, Criterion

The sequel to Battlefront turned out to be a controversial project in all respects - overly casual and monotonous gameplay, long leveling, unlocking weapons and, as the final nail in the coffin of player expectations, aggressive imposition of donations in the form of . The only thing we can praise the developers for is the excellent graphics.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_q51LZ2HpbE Video can’t be loaded: Star Wars Battlefront II: Official Gameplay Trailer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_q51LZ2HpbE)

The Frostbite engine allowed us to show excellent pictures, realistic effects and a lot of small details, such as leaves swaying in the wind, circles on the water, or dust raised by a vehicle hovering near the ground. When it comes to space battles, the wow factor is here to stay. Space stations, laser projectiles and explosions look no worse than in the original film.

L.A. Noire

  • Platform: PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, XBOX One
  • Release date: May 17, 2011
  • Developer: Team Bondi, Rockstar

Open world detective L.A. Noire cannot be called a graphically advanced game. It was released on the previous generation of consoles, squeezing the most out of it (and even on PC the situation has not changed much). Therefore, players had to put up with low detail in the environment, a small number of NPCs, and other consequences of the desire to “shove in what can’t be squeezed in.”

The game is definitely worth recommending to all fans of realistic graphics for its system of character facial expressions. All dialogues were recorded by professional actors using Motion Capture to thoroughly convey the characters' personalities. And this is not just a visual decoration, but a working gameplay mechanic. By questioning suspects and witnesses, lies, fear, and other emotions can be revealed.

Detroit: Become Human

  • Platform: PlayStation 4
  • Release date: May 25, 2018
  • Developer: Quantic Dream

Quantic Dream has once again managed to squeeze out all the possibilities from the current generation of Sony consoles. First there was a good Fahrenheit for PS2, a kind of test of the pen, then the extremely popular Heavy Rain was released and Beyound was dubiously received by the public. And now, having the power of the PS4 at their disposal, the developers have managed to make an interactive movie with well-animated characters. There are, of course, minor flaws, but they are skillfully masked by a blue image filter and a slight blurriness of the background.

The in-house engine with Tiled Forward rendering is simply beyond praise, and of course, the sophistication of the animations, as always, is at its best from Quantic Dream

Crysis series

  • Platform: PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3
  • Release date: 2007-2013
  • Developer: Crytek

Despite the fact that several years have passed since the release of the final part of the trilogy, it still manages to load gamers’ computers. And this is not some Assassins Creed: Origins, which, with an empty world and stripped-down graphics, is ungodly slow and laggy. In Crysis you can immediately see where the resources of the processor and video card are spent. Realistic shadows and lighting, destructibility of small objects, detailed high-poly textures. The developers did a particularly good job with the vegetation - the blades of grass sway in the wind and bend to the sides when the character walks along them.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jvs8tv4lh9M Video can’t be loaded: Crysis 3 – Official full gameplay trailer! (HD) 1080p (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jvs8tv4lh9M)

However, not only the third part deserves attention. Even the original, released back in 2007, looks more decent than many modern projects. Walking through the jungle dotted with vegetation, enjoying high-quality weather effects, is still interesting today (especially if you install the HD mod).

Once the kings of photorealism, Crytek created a truly cool graphics engine that works quickly and is still in use today.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

  • Platform: PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One/One X
  • Release date: 2015
  • Developer: Crystal Dynamics

The latest installment in Lara Croft's adventures has raised the bar for video game quality to a new level. The developers' own engine, Foundation Engine, produces excellent images while adequately loading the system. Physically accurate rendering of materials made surfaces look realistic, and the combination of HDR and adaptive tone mapping allowed for excellent lighting effects - highlights, transitions from dark to bright, etc.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRY4kooD9oM Video can’t be loaded: Rise of the Tomb Raider PC Trailer 4K (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRY4kooD9oM)

Interaction with the environment was also a success. Steps in the snow leave realistic paths, and the main character’s bathing in the water is accompanied by circles diverging in different directions. We also worked on the character himself - all movements look smooth and cinematic. Of course, to experience all the benefits, you need to play on a PC or at least buy the PRO/X versions of the latest generation consoles.

The Order 1886

  • Platform: PlayStation 4
  • Release date: February 20, 2015
  • Developer: Ready at Dawn

If you are the proud owner of a PS4 console, be sure to play The Order 1886. This dark action game in the steampunk style does not offer any original mechanics, but it allows players to admire the beautiful graphics.

Thanks to the efforts of the developers, the result is a real interactive film - you won’t immediately notice when a long interactive video smoothly flows into the gameplay. The level of detail in the game rivals that of early CGI graphics like those featured in the Final Fantasy animation.

Doom (2016 version)

  • Platform: PC, Xbox ONE, PS4, Nintendo Switch
  • Release date: May 13, 2016
  • Developer: id Software

The atmospheric shooter Doom has become a real treat for the eyes of gamers, while being perfectly optimized even for systems that are weak by today's standards. The setting of the game itself (the action takes place on a Martian base under attack by demons, and in hell itself) does not imply the presence of abundant vegetation, water and various effects that cause sagging frame rates. The power freed from the additional load was directed to more worthwhile things - high-quality high-resolution textures, effects from shots, explosions and realistic dismemberment.

Doom looks great even on medium settings, but it would be much better to turn the settings to ultra-nightmare levels and raise the resolution to 4K. True, you will have to fork out for a modern video card with 6GB of onboard memory and a monitor that supports 3840x2160.

Rainbow Six: Siege

  • Platform: PC, Xbox One, PS4
  • Release date: December 1, 2015
  • Developer: Ubisoft Montreal

At the start of sales of the multiplayer shooter Rainbow Six: Siege, many gamers felt deceived and quite naturally bombarded Ubisoft with accusations. And all because the gameplay and graphics shown turned out to be greatly reduced when compared with the promotional video released two years before the release. The developers were forced to cut some effects and remove destructibility in some places so that their project would produce normal performance in multiplayer battles.

However, if you put aside the opinions of people with the “high expectations syndrome” and look at the picture objectively, you can see a well-done job - realistic light and shadows, well-detailed textures of characters and environments. Various small effects like smoke from shots, bullet marks on walls, etc. also look excellent.

Siege hits 60 FPS with an almost completely destructible environment! Graphics programmers have made the most of the In-house engine!

GTA V

  • Platform: PC, Xbox 360/One, PS3/4
  • Release date: September 17, 2013
  • Developer: Rockstar Games

At the time of release, back in 2013, the new part of GTA set another high quality bar for open-world games. The need to create a huge seamless space did not stop the developers from Rockstar from detailing the environment, making realistic changes in weather conditions and time of day, natural reflections in glass, water and other mirror surfaces. To unlock the potential of the game and turn the settings to maximum, gamers had to put their consoles on the shelf and buy powerful PCs equipped with video cards with a memory capacity of at least 4 gigabytes.

Now, of course, the new Just Cause is coming out, and the second Watch Dogs was able to show great graphics (no). Compared to them, GTA V is slightly outdated, but the situation is easily corrected by modders. Enthusiasts are posting more detailed textures on the Internet, playing with filters and lighting, and working on effects. This allows you to achieve impressive results - screenshots of a well-pumped version are difficult to distinguish from CGI and even real photographs.

Project Cars

  • Platform: PC, PlayStation 4, XBOX One
  • Release date: May 6, 2015
  • Developer: Slightly Mad Studios

The developers of this excellent racing simulator took the old engine from NFS Shift and worked hard on it, creating a graphically advanced product. The detailing of the textures, both inside the car's interior and on the exterior, is simply amazing. And the surrounding world with its weather effects, dust from wheels, and a realistic lighting system will also delight those who like to sit behind the wheel of a virtual car. For graphics connoisseurs, a special photo mode has even been invented that allows you to take pictures of sports cars from different angles.

Conclusion

As sad as it is to admit, computer game developers have stopped chasing realistic images in their games. This is due to their focus on the console market, which can provide much greater profits than sales on PCs. And since the hardware of these systems is not particularly powerful and is not able to squeeze out a stable 60 frames in new products (the same upcoming Spider-Man from Sony will work at a modest 30 FPS in FullHD), no one will add additional graphical bells and whistles to the game. We can only wait for the next generation of consoles and hope that at least it will allow us to achieve a technological breakthrough.

If just 10 years ago the graphics in games were, to put it mildly, with slightly noticeable polygons and angular textures, today games can boast of a very realistic world with detailed drawing and lighting close to real life. Sometimes it becomes difficult at first glance to distinguish what is in front of you, gameplay footage or footage shot on a camera with a blur filter applied. Today, we’ll look at just such games.

Over the past year, excellent projects have been released that can boast of their realism and help the player to completely immerse themselves in the virtual world. Let's look at the most popular games with realistic graphics according to the gamers themselves.

Our top contains games released over the past 5 years, including 2017. If you are interested in games with the most realistic graphics that will be released in 2018, then watch this video:

Now let's look at games with realistic graphics that have been out for a long time and you can play them right now.

Project Cars

But the graphic component can shock a person who has not seen good pictures in games. The developers tried to make everything so close to reality that sometimes you get the feeling that you are really watching a program about racing. All models are made of very high quality.

The game looks photorealistic. But in everything else it’s mediocre, which is why it received low ratings from both critics and audiences.

This game came out from the hands of the developers Guerilla Games and saw the world in 2017. However, you can only play it on the PS4 console. There is no PC port yet, but it is likely that there will be one soon. The developers did not give a definite answer. The game is very fresh and not similar to previous “hog killing” simulators.

The game's setting immerses us in a style that has never been used before. The German company was able to mix primitiveness with the technological revolution. The player will have to visit an unexplored planet, the flora and fauna of which is very similar to the era of dinosaurs. Moreover, absolutely everything is connected with unusual futuristic technology.

The developers managed to convey the atmosphere completely with the help of excellent graphics. And she really amazes the imagination here. Advanced technologies are used, which may set a mandatory level for any “AAA” game project.

GTA V

Well, there is no way to ignore the creation of Rockstar Games on this list. These guys always came out with games that became cult and super popular. Just look at one of their series – Grand Theft Auto. By the way, it was these games that gave the company wide popularity.

In the fifth part of the “bad guys” simulator, they decided to focus on graphics. And it worked out great. The graphics are very realistic. The most beautiful picture can be enjoyed by PC players.

The giant of the video card industry, Nvidia, just at the time of the game’s release, introduced technologies that make the usual “plasticine” graphics more realistic. The main work was done on shadows, clouds, reflections, post-processing, hair and decals.

But GTA V is interesting not only in terms of graphics. The developers focused on the realism of the game world. It worked out great, with most of the characters constantly busy with their own things. They sleep at night, go to work in the morning, walk and relax in the evening, and interact with each other. Strange events are constantly happening, which really enliven the world and keep the player busy for a couple of extra hours.

This game can be called the most realistic game in the world, but, as you know, not everyone will like it. Moreover, on a PC it has serious requirements for a comfortable game with maximum graphics quality.

Adding a multiplayer game mode is a great move on the part of the developers. This allows many gamers to cooperate to complete missions and increases replayability. I want to go into the game again every day.

Uncharted 4

The game from Naughty Dog turned out great. The highest reviews from critics, similar opinions from players. All games in the series are adventure shooters that have a fairly rich and detailed world. This part was simply a masterpiece in graphic terms.

Sometimes during the game it seems that the developers meticulously drew every cobblestone, even in places where it would seem to be completely unnecessary. The highest texture resolution shows that the emphasis was placed on graphics. And it was the right decision.

The atmosphere is well conveyed by the style of the image, elaborate shadows, and light. The musical accompaniment, as always, does not lag behind. All this, coupled with a well-written plot, which, by the way, continues the story of the previous game, makes players start the game again and again.

In general, all fans of stunning graphics are recommended to play through.

Infamous: Second Son

The games in the Infamous series are made in a genre that is unusual for many players. You have to play as a hero who can absorb the “superpower” of others. The main genre of the game is action, but there is an open world, which is extremely unusual for such games.

The game has a moral choice, which is presented in the following form. the player will need at the very beginning what he will do as the game progresses: a hero who helps everyone or a villain who cares only about his own personal goals.

The gameplay has been expanded compared to previous parts. Now you can have in your arsenal not one or two elements, but four at once. But the plot is not executed at the highest level. In principle, the game stands out not for its sharp and intense plot, but for its advanced graphics.

The graphics are really well thought out. All effects from fire, lightning and other things are made very realistic. The textures are high resolution and well drawn. Lighting effects, shadows, object physics - all this makes the game stand out from others. The graphical component is the strongest aspect of this game.

Star Citizen

It is very difficult to say anything about this game since it is under development. According to the developers, it will turn out great and will feature chic, well-designed, realistic graphics.

As the name suggests, the game will be related to space. The player will need to build relationships with other residents. It will be possible to trade with some, and you will have to fight with others. Based on its concept and description, the result will be something very suitable and of high quality, which the average gamer has not yet had time to get tired of.

Far Cry Primal

The Far Cry series is one of the most popular open-world shooters in the niche. In their new part, the developers decided to conduct an experiment. They combined a shooter with a primitive world. It turned out very good and fresh.

One of the unique features of the game is the ability to tame wild animals. The function looks interesting. Just imagine what it’s like to run around with a bow and have a saber-toothed tiger as your assistant. At the very least, this is unusual for such games.

The graphics especially stand out. Made with high quality. The developers did a good job on the animals, effects, light and shadows. It turned out to well transfer the atmosphere of that time and immerse the player in this world. The game is highly acclaimed by critics and the community.

The game was one of the first to claim realism. It was in it that the developers for the first time tried to connect not only the plot, but also the graphics and atmosphere with real life. But at the time of development there were no special technical means, so the game turned out not at the highest level. Not only critics, but also most players speak about this.

Multiplayer deserves special mention. This is really the strong point of the game. There are no cheaters here, which are not uncommon in other shooters of this type. For example, in Call of Duty, Battlefield this is an eternal problem. At the moment, the graphics are no longer advanced, but as the progenitor of the path of realism in games, it is a very good project.

Tom Clancy's the Division is a slow-paced shooter with tactical elements. The battles take place at a leisurely pace. The plot is quite simple and boring. Only the names and situations change. In this particular game, the player will have to shoot the “bad guys” in New York. But the implementation has already been done better. You can complete missions either alone or in a company of up to four people.

The graphics are done well. It is immediately clear that the developers focused on it. As always, working with shadows, lighting, and effects does its job - it conveys the atmosphere that the developer wanted to convey. In principle, the project turned out to be interesting, especially if the gamer has the opportunity to play with friends.

Bottom line

As you can see, the gaming industry does not stand still and is constantly evolving. And he is moving forward by leaps and bounds. Every year more and more excellent products appear that allow you to have a great time in your free time. Perhaps someone will argue that graphics are not important for the game.

This is partly true, but the validity of this judgment cannot be extended to all genres. Agree that for an RPG, for example, not only the graphical component is important, but also a deep atmosphere, dialogues, good voice acting, an interesting plot worked out to the smallest detail.

But in racing games, few people pay attention to these components. Because most of the time the player is in the race and looking at the picture. Of course, there are exceptions to any rule, but the vast majority fall within the scope of this rule.

It’s simply impossible to name the best game with the most realistic graphics. Here everything depends on individual perception and there simply cannot be a single correct opinion. All games featured are selected and described based on overall player ratings and reviews.
