On Tuesday, June 28, the TEFI television award ceremony took place at the Ostankino television center in Moscow.

The awarding of winners in 31 categories took place in two stages: at 13:00 the finalists of the “Daytime Broadcast” category were announced, and at 19:00 – “Evening Prime”. The prize is traditionally a bronze figurine “Orpheus” by Ernst Neizvestny.

Chairman of the Board of the Industrial Television Awards Committee Mikhail Shvydkoy noted that last year at TEFI the “prize fund” was only 24 “Orpheus”.

According to him, in 2016, each jury member was obliged to mark not one candidate, but three, which gave completely “new results.”

Director of the “Committee” Maya Kobakhidze said that this time the TEFI organizing committee received over 400 applications from 29 Russian television companies, TASS reports.

Thus, within the framework of “Daytime Broadcast” there were 14 awards. “The best morning program” was “Morning on 5” from Channel Five, while the prize for the best morning program presenter was won by Yulia Vysotskaya. The jury noted her work at the “Visiting Studio of Yulia Vysotskaya” (NTV channel).

The best daytime talk show was “The Glass Bead Game” on the Russia-K channel. The same channel won a prize for the educational program “Bolshoi Ballet”.

As part of the “Lifestyle” entertainment program, the figurine went to the creators of the “Heads and Tails” project on the Pyatnitsa channel. The best TV game was the famous program “What? Where? When?”, documentary project - “1812-1815. Foreign campaign" to France for Russian troops.

The jury recognized “Revizorro” as the most valuable journalistic investigation. New season”, and the reality show – “Weighted People”. For the best television project about sports, the award was given to “The Way to the East” by Fedor Emelianenko.

Vladimir Stognienko was awarded the title of best presenter of a sports program - the prize was received for his work as a commentator at the CSKA - Spartak football match.

In the field of daytime television series, the jury gave preference to the 15th season of “Secrets of the Investigation.” “Clever Men and Smart Men” won in the “Program for Children and Youth” category. It is worth noting that “Betrayals” brought the prize for best director to its creator Vadim Perelman.

The best actor, in turn, was Konstantin Khabensky, who played the role of investigator Rodion Meglin in the already noted TEFI series “Method”.

The “Best Actress” prize was won by Elena Lyadova, who starred in the repeatedly “gold-bearing” “Betrayals.”

The title of “Television Producer of the Season” was shared by Alexander Tsekalo (“Method”, “Locust”, “Klim” and “It Can’t Be Better”) and Yuri Aksyuta (“The Voice. Children”).

The latest TEFI award - “Event of the television season” - was awarded to the project “War and Peace. We are reading a novel,” which brought together both stars and ordinary television viewers for Leo Tolstoy’s masterpiece.

The winners of the TEFI-2016 award for the highest achievements in the field of television have been announced. Ivan Urgant, Elena Letuchaya, Vladimir Pozner and other TV stars today received Golden Orpheus statuettes for their work in the ending TV season.
