The famous biologist Niklay Drozdov said that he is ready to transfer the rights of the host of the program “In the Animal World” to his partner Alexei Lapin.

The 80-year-old zoologist, who for 40 years was the TV presenter of the program “In the Animal World,” announced his resignation from the project.

Nikolai Nikolaevich told the Russian media about this in an interview in honor of the 50th anniversary of the program.

The Doctor of Biological Sciences said that he intends to transfer his post as host of the program to his young co-host, 15-year-old Alexei Lapin.

“A children’s studio program is simply not even my format. Already now, one of the five programs is done by Alexey alone. I have to watch this program from the outside,” said Drozdov.

The information and entertainment portal site recalls that Drozdov began broadcasting on Channel One in 1977, alternating with journalist Vasily Peskov, and since 1990 he has become the sole presenter of the program. Since April 2016, the program has been broadcast on the children's TV channel "Carousel". The anniversary episode will air on April 19.
