What is chakra?

The first question that arises in the reader’s mind when studying this topic is: "What is chakra?". I found out that the Sanskrit word is "chakra" means "wheel, circle". Chakras in the human body look like spheres emitting energy, from which petals extend - the sections of energy channels adjacent to them.

Chakras of the human body

There are seven chakras in our body. Each chakra has its own color, its own meaning (belonging), its location in the human body, name and sound for its opening. The chakra can be opened using a special sound that must be pronounced while in a trance. More on this below, but now let’s go over the names.

As I just said, there are 7 main chakras in the human body. Here are their names: Muladhara, Swadhisthana, Manipura, Anahata, Vishuddha, Ajna and Sahasrara. The names are not easy. This can break your tongue. Or accidentally cast a spell, resulting in something interesting happening.

The picture below shows the location of all seven chakras. They have seven colors of the rainbow.

Muldahara this is the first chakra, which is located in the perineum area near the genitals or at the base of the spine. Has a red color.

Svadhisthana This is the second chakra, which is located between the navel and the upper edge of the pubic bone. Basically, this is the place below the navel, two or three fingers' width. This chakra is orange in color.

Manipura is the third chakra, located in the solar plexus area. It is yellow.

Anahata– the fourth chakra, located in the middle of the sternum. Has a pleasant green color.

Vishuddha– the fifth chakra and it is located in the throat area. Blue color.

Ajna or the third eye is located in the area between the eyebrows or in the middle of the forehead. This chakra radiates blue.

Located in the parietal region. Purple color.

Human chakras and their meanings

We realized that there are seven human chakras, they have rainbow colors and are located next to each other. We also know that any chakra is a separate energy that is responsible for something specific. But for what exactly? What do these chakras mean? Let's take things in order. Let's start from the bottom up.

- This is the chakra of the Earth. It is this chakra that connects us with her. It can be considered a foundation, basis, support. This is where personalities are born, where all our fears and worries are formed, and the sense of security that we all strive for. To open this chakra, you need to worry. It is all our fears that block its flow.

This chakra is responsible for the ability to survive in this difficult world. Muldahara is the instinct of self-preservation. In a balanced state, this chakra manifests itself in the form of your calmness and sense of security. If this chakra becomes unbalanced, a person faces physical problems: pain in the kidneys, adrenal glands, lower back.

The Muldahara chakra manifests itself emotionally in the form of fear, anxiety, danger, uncertainty, and the feeling of being a victim. To achieve balance in the work of this chakra, it is necessary. You need to realize one thing simple truth: You have everything you need to get what you want, and therefore you can be calm right now. Realize this.

responsible for receiving pleasure. It is precisely because of its development that we all strive to feel good. Therefore, people love to have fun, have fun, want sex, and feel a wealth of various positive emotional experiences.

In a balanced state of this chakra, a person receives pleasure from the process of his actions, and not from the final result. In an unbalanced state, a person experiences anger and internal dissatisfaction, which is why he begins to look for new sources of pleasure. Physically, it manifests itself in the form of diseases of the genital organs, pain in the lower abdomen. To achieve balance, strive to enjoy the process, not the result. Find time to pursue hobbies.

connects the other four spiritual chakras and the two lower instinctive chakras. It is located in the solar plexus area and has yellow. Manipura is a source of confidence, awareness of one’s strength. This area contains stereotypes, our life positions, values and beliefs. This chakra is responsible for the ability to choose what we like, to direct our will to achieve what we want.

In a balanced state, a person understands what he wants, understands his needs and aspirations, and knows how to focus on achieving what he wants. In an unbalanced state, a person begins to exhibit such negative quality how to always be right, conflicts with other people, experiences or debts, does not know how, accepts the role of a victim, is always dissatisfied, feels helpless.

To achieve balance, you need to determine your true needs and clearly understand what you want. It is also necessary. Openly declare your intentions, free yourself from stereotypes and false imposed beliefs. Get rid of other people's opinions, they will not feed your children.

It is also called the heart chakra. It unites your soul and ego. When this chakra awakens, you become one with the world. This chakra is responsible for love for oneself and others, a harmonious state, and opens the ability to compassion.

In a balanced form, joy arises from accepting life and other people. Inner harmony with yourself and the outside world appears. Unbalanced emotional expression: broken heart, sentimentality, tearfulness, lack of self-love, deep dependence on someone else's love. Disease of the heart, lungs, weakened immunity, disruption of the circulatory system - all this is a negative physical manifestation. I am very pleased with the purchase, because now I have best table among all your colleagues!

And to achieve a positive result, start caring about other people. Praise yourself, stand in front of the mirror and compliment yourself, write down your successes. This way you will get rid of dependence on someone’s love and become a free person.

has a sky blue color. This chakra is closely related to the Svadhisthana chakra, its sexual and creative energy, which is mandatory for the manifestation and development of creative abilities. This chakra calls us to and. It's not for nothing that the Vishuddha chakra is called "door of freedom".

Vishuddha is responsible for inner potential, self-expression, creativity. In a balanced state of this chakra, a person realizes his uniqueness, the true "I", a person is honest with himself. In an unbalanced state, a person shows an inability to express himself, fights for the right to be free and independent, is dishonest with himself, and strives to prove another position wrong.

To achieve balance, you need to be honest with yourself and other people. Stop imitating other people and following their path. Learn to express your opinion even when it contradicts the opinion of the majority. Find a way to express yourself. This will unblock the Vishuddha chakra.

makes it possible to go beyond ordinary perception everyday life, read information from the Universal Library. With the development of this chakra, a person simultaneously becomes "observer" And "witness" when he is both involved and fully aware of it.

it is the center of enlightenment and insight, pure cosmic energy. The vibration of this chakra creates a halo above the head.

At the beginning of the article I said that a separate sound or mantra is used to open the chakra. Here is the list:

LAM – Muladhara;

VAM – Svadhisthana;

RAM – Manipura;

YAM – Anahata;

SHYAM - Vishuddha;

KSHAM - Ajna;

OM – Sahasrara.

Below is a video to help you with meditation.

This is all I wanted to tell you about human chakras. In fact, a person has more chakras, but there are only seven main ones. If you don’t understand something, be sure to watch a fragment from the cartoon "Avatar", where the sage, using the example of water, explains what chakras are and shows how to open them. Viewing is required.

Human chakras, what is a chakra, the meaning of chakras

Like

The human chakras, their meaning and purification have been the subject of study for many millennia in order to understand the human structure. The understanding that man is an integral system came into our lives from ancient Indian philosophy. Modern physics confirms the particle-wave theory of the existence of matter. Essence material world– energy in its various forms. The famous law of conservation of energy confirms exactly this. Vital “prana” or “qi” is the basis of human life. Its completeness is the basis of health internal organs and external systems of the body. In yoga practice, the concept of “prana” is the force of the universe that fills everything. And at the same time, in yogic practice, the concept of “prana” is directly associated with breathing, because in translation from Sanskrit prana means breath. Pranayama is the art of controlling the breath, the art of controlling one’s own body. Because the body is filled with prana, how correctly it moves through the body, a person’s health depends. Health is not only physical, but also spiritual.

In Eastern philosophy, these two concepts, body and spirit, are closely interrelated. The physical body is not a simple vessel for the spiritual; these are two sides of one phenomenon, whose name is “man”.

Human chakras and their meaning

In Taoist tradition, the life force "qi" exists three types and is concentrated in three energy centers - lower, middle and upper diantian. Obviously, this interpretation was a simplification for a better understanding of the structure of a person and the essence of the movement of qi in a person. This is not a contradiction with the traditional Indian theory about the human chakras and their meaning. These concepts relate to the subtle body of a person, to his biofield. Prana is contained and circulates in the seven vortices of man: Muladhara, Svadhisthana, Manipura, Anahata, Vishuddha, Ajna and Sahasrara. All of them are located on the side of the spine. Only the upper ones, Ajna and Sahasrara, are located in the front of the head.

The first three are combined into the lower dian-tian and are the repository of the so-called ancestral primordial matter

  • Muladhara, located in the perineum.,
  • Sacral, center of attractiveness and sexuality,
  • Svadhisthana is located at the level of the ovaries in women and the prostate in men.
  • Manipura, the umbilical, the center of vitality, will and character. In the Japanese tradition, this is a repository of “hara” - spirit, hence harakiri - opening the repository of the spirit.
  • Heart – Anahata, feelings and emotions. This is the embodiment of humanity and openness. Located at the level of the heart, lungs and diaphragm, it is responsible for breathing and cardiac activity. In the Taoist tradition, this is the middle dian-tian, which accumulates external qi. This is the main center for the assimilation and accumulation of vital forces from external sources.,
  • Vishuddha, the throat chakra, is responsible for speech and hearing and is, as it were, a connecting link between the heart and spirit. She is also responsible for emotions that are already moving to the spiritual level. Physiologically it is connected with the nervous system.
  • Third eye, Ajna, chakra of clairvoyance and intelligence. It completely relates to the spiritual level of a person.
  • Sahasrara is considered the main one, has the shape of a crown, filling it with pure energy, a person achieves samadhi, enlightenment. Upper dian-tian.

The sixth and seventh points are of utmost importance in human health. Intellect and spirituality in the Eastern tradition are inseparable, and hard work lies in filling this center with already transformed power.

Human chakras and their cleansing

As noted, the subtle body of man and his physical organism are a single structure.

Aeroyoga- Aerial yoga, or, as it is also called, “yoga on hammocks,” is one of the most modern types of yoga, which allows you to perform asanas in the air. Aerial yoga is performed in a specially equipped room in which small hammocks are suspended from the ceiling. It is in them that asanas are performed. This type of yoga makes it possible to quickly master some complex asanas, and also promises good physical activity, develops flexibility and strength.

Hatha yoga- one of the most common types of practice; many original styles of yoga are based on it. Suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners. Hatha yoga lessons help you master basic asanas and simple meditations. Typically, classes are conducted at a leisurely pace and involve predominantly static load.

Will help you: get acquainted with yoga, lose weight, strengthen muscles, relieve stress, cheer up.

Suitable for you: hatha yoga video lessons, couples yoga classes.

Ashtanga yoga- Ashtanga, which literally means “the eight-step path to the final goal,” is one of the complex styles of yoga. This direction combines different practices and represents an endless flow in which one exercise smoothly transitions into another. Each asana should be held for several breathing cycles. Ashtanga yoga will require strength and endurance from its adherents.

Yoga Iyengar- This direction of yoga is named after its founder, who created an entire health complex designed for students of any age and level of training. It was Iyengar yoga that first allowed the use of auxiliary devices (rollers, belts) in classes, which made it easier for beginners to perform many asanas. The purpose of this style of yoga is to promote health. Much attention is paid to the correct performance of asanas, which are considered the basis for mental and physical recovery.

The condition of the internal organs and the entire human body is directly related to the energy balance in the body. At the same time, the state of the internal organs can be judged by the state of the subtle body. Each human chakra forms its own aura, glow, just as any flow of energy forms an energy field around itself.

The entire human aura is a collection of shells created by all human vortices. A bright, even glow of the aura indicates the health of those systems with which certain centers are associated. A dim glow indicates a thinning of the membrane, the ill health of one or another organ. The glow of the aura is similar to the indicator lights on the control panel of a large and complex energy system.

The meaning of energy cents for the proper flow of life force cannot be overemphasized. Treatment of internal organs is designed to align and harmonize the flow of life in them. After all, excess is just as harmful as deficiency. Treatment of the subtle body is an approach to the same goal using a different method. And this method is no less effective. Aligning the movement of vital force, establishing balance, ensuring the correct filling of energy centers is the key to the health of all body systems.

Pranayama, exercises for working with prana, are aimed primarily at preserving and strengthening the original energy in the lower energy center. These are chakras associated with the genitourinary system, kidneys, and gastrointestinal tract. Kundalini is the basis of sexual activity, it is what we received at birth, our natural battery. The fullness of this center has a beneficial effect on musculoskeletal system, and careful use of natural reserves is the basis of longevity. In direct connection with Svadhisthana is the health of the legs. For health shoulder girdle and Anahata answers. It also controls the life force in the heart and lungs. The fourth, during violent emotions, tries to extinguish the excessive flow, so a person often gesticulates when excited. The meaning of the fifth vortex is related to speech and hearing. Vishuddha is also responsible for the trachea, vocal cords, and sinuses. All colds are accompanied by a disruption in the flow of life force in this chakra. Strengthening it will be the key to excellent health in the winter. You can recall ancient recipes for hardening the throat. Human chakras, their meaning and treatment, now no longer seem something mystical. Hatha yoga exercises are designed to strengthen muscles and joints and have a beneficial effect on the health of the lower chakras and their treatment. Breathing exercises Yogis teach how to collect and accumulate cosmic energy; they treat the average energy level. Vortexes of the upper level of spiritual energy are harmonized by relaxation exercises.

Energy Exercises

Any system of Eastern medicine studies primarily the structure of a person and the movement of energy in the human body. Any health system is based on working to control this movement.

Yoga exercises - asanas at the first stage help relieve tension in muscles and joints, stretch ligaments and fill joints with energy, harmonize the human structure. This helps strengthen the lower chakras, working with the lower energy centers. At the advanced stage of training, asanas are performed with a certain breathing rhythm. Practice deep belly breathing, smooth and continuous. Thus, the energy received from the air accumulates, the chakras of the heart, lungs and trachea are harmonized. The male type of belly breathing promotes the most complete consumption of oxygen, the most complete filling of the whole body with prana. Breathing exercises are practically a panacea in the treatment of pulmonary diseases.

According to the spiritual practices of Hinduism, a person has 7 main chakras (padmas) - energy nodes responsible for certain aspects of life. Each node has different characteristics and meaning in a person’s life. To understand how to open the chakras and look at your spiritual body from a different angle, you should study the description of each padma.

Description

In order to exist and interact normally with the world around us, a person needs energy. Chakras are energy nodes located in the " subtle body» person (on a spiritual level). They act as a “receiver-transmitter” for energy that comes to us from space.

From Sanskrit the word “chakra” is translated as “wheel”. This is because this ephemeral “organ” looks like a kind of funnel. Invisible to the eye, plasma fields constantly vibrate, transforming the received energy and adapting it to human needs. Each chakra has its own color and yantra (a special symbol consisting of a certain number of “petals”).

There are many chakras located on the human body, but there are 7 main energy centers. They interact with the physical body through the endocrine and nervous systems. Each of the nodes is responsible for a certain aspect of life and the normal functioning of one of the organs or systems.

Important! The movement of energy occurs along the spine from bottom to top. If something interferes or blocks this flow, a person may experience health problems, discomfort, disturbance of spiritual balance, loss of strength and complete apathy.

In addition, if the difficulties in the flow of energy are not noticed in time, a complete blockage can form, which leads to an absolute disconnection from universal energy (in other words, to physical death).

To cleanse the paths of energy movement and the chakras themselves, affirmations are used - special formulas of self-hypnosis. In addition, you can cleanse the chakras with the help of special spiritual practices, meditation and breathing exercises.

Let us note that not every person has all 7 chakras open. Each of them has its own level of consciousness, so the opening of each chakra occurs at different stages of life.

For example, when a person is just born, he still doesn’t know how to do anything. Therefore, only the first chakra, which is responsible for basic instincts - hunger, sleep, fear, perception, can open.

Let's take a look full specifications all chakras

How to open chakras?

Deep work with the chakras is a complex and lengthy process. But first you need to open them so that energy can circulate freely throughout your physical body. For this, beginners use 8 simple techniques.

  1. Wardrobe. It’s great to have clothes of chakra colors in your everyday life - they can be worn every day or used on special occasions. In addition, you can get a couple of things with images of yantras.
  2. Interior. You should decorate your home with items that harmonize the energy system. To do this, you can use various mandalas, dream catchers, thematic tapestries and paintings.
  3. Decorations. Natural stones will help stabilize the functioning of energy channels and open the chakras. Depending on which node needs to be opened, the crystal or gem that is responsible for it is selected.
  4. Images on the body. Most often they are applied using cosmetic henna - the design is selected for each chakra separately. As a rule, signs are drawn that characterize a particular node.
  5. Food. Junk and high-calorie foods “clog” not only the stomach, but also the mind. Therefore, for those who seek to cleanse themselves and open their chakras. It is better to give up fast foods, fatty, fried and heavy foods. Preference should be given to fruits and vegetables.

Important! When opening the chakras, they most often adhere to a vegetarian diet.

  6. Smells. Constant stress accumulates in the body and is reflected in the form of negative emotions. Aromatherapy helps you calm down and relax.

In addition, the pleasant smells of essential oils will help create a special atmosphere in your home. In addition to pleasant smells, you can calm down in other ways. In the article "" you can find more information on this topic.

  7. Candles. In esotericism there is a special concept - “chakra candle”. It is made to match the color of the chakra that should be activated and has a subtle aroma corresponding to it essential oil. In addition, contemplation of fire has a beneficial effect on the energy center.
  8. Singing bowls. It's ancient musical instrument in the form of a deep bowl, producing a sound from the vibration of the walls due to touching them with a special stick. A pleasant and deep sound, filled with overtones, can put a person into a light trance and make him abandon all thoughts surrounding him.

What is blocking?

Blocked chakras usually manifest as energy imbalances and poor health. You can usually tell that one or more chakras are not functioning properly based on the following signs.

  1. Health problems arise. A person’s physical strength decreases, and problems with weight and nutrition may begin. His general health is unsatisfactory.
  2. Constant difficulties with intimate life, long search for a suitable partner. Inability to build strong family or quarrels and conflicts with relatives.
  3. Lack of confidence in yourself and your potential. Frequent thoughts that you won’t be able to achieve what you want, pliability and suggestibility, lack of your own opinion. The feeling that in any difficult situation"Hands up."
  4. Self-intolerance. Constant criticism of one's own actions and decisions. Attempts to avoid serious relationships, fear of the emergence of romantic feelings. Emotional “inhibition” is the inability to fully express one’s feelings.
  5. Excessive shyness. It always seems that if you make a semantic mistake in a dialogue, you will be ridiculed.
  6. Difficulty of choice. The inability to make an adequate decision when you have to choose between personal interest and a sense of duty. A heightened sense of guilt even when the solution to the situation depends on other people.
  7. Feeling of total loneliness.

Such factors have a detrimental effect on all areas of human life. He develops and worsens existing health problems, and negative thoughts and desires arise. An energy imbalance can throw you out of a rut for a long time, which is then quite difficult to return to.

For each chakra, there are certain factors that can affect their blockage. Below is a list of all blocking “catalysts” for 7 padmas in order.

  1. Muladhara. This chakra is always blocked by fear. This could be a fear of physical strength, one’s own emotions, experiences, fear of the aggression of others and life in general. All other negative experiences (anger, phobias) are born precisely out of fear. You should not push your fears “inside” your consciousness - to solve the problem, they should be carefully studied and released.
  2. Svadhisthana. The second chakra is blocked by guilt. It is difficult for people with this type of blockage to exist in society - they will always find something to blame themselves for and always, even in the case of minor troubles, engage in self-flagellation. To solve this problem, you must stop being a victim of your own thoughts and realize that not all problems in this life were caused by you.
  3. Manipura. Blocked due to feelings of shame and disappointment. From childhood, we are instilled with norms and rules, following which we do not feel a sense of shame. But if you “go too far” and reproach the child for doing everything wrong, at a conscious age the person will feel that everything he does is wrong, and therefore shameful.
  4. Anahata. The chakra responsible for love and mercy is blocked by grief and resentment. Usually, while experiencing these emotions, a person is quite apathetic and does not want to work on himself. He is haunted by a depressive state, from which it is difficult to get out of it on his own. Therefore, to unblock the fourth chakra, it is better to contact a professional psychologist who will help you understand your emotions.
  5. Vishuddha. Foul language, condemnation and lies block the fifth chakra. These emotions and characteristics greatly poison life - a person with a blocked fifth chakra experiences emptiness and loneliness. In order to cleanse and open it, you should ask for forgiveness from the object on which all the negativity was “laid down”.
  6. Ajna. Having your head in the clouds can block this chakra. Ajna is also responsible for psychic abilities. Therefore, constant daydreaming, illusions and hyperbole own skills interfere with its normal functioning. To make it work, it is very important to accept yourself as you are.
  7. Sahasrara. Blocking of the “divine” chakra itself occurs as a result of excessive attachment to material things - a car, a house, clothes. Besides this. Eternal dissatisfaction with oneself, as well as an attempt to try on “someone else’s coat,” can also hinder its development. To restore this chakra, it is very important to understand that the most important thing in life is spirituality and peace. Listen to your own biorhythms and eliminate all irritating factors.

Absolutely different factors can disrupt the energy balance. For example, this could be a psychological trauma that happened in early childhood. Or simply a lack of awareness in mature age.

In any case, all these problems can be solved. It's never too late to clear the chakras of negativity and normalize the movement of energy.

How to cleanse chakras?

Cleaning the chakras, as well as their preliminary opening, is necessary for the correct movement of energy flows. It happens that negative thoughts, fears, and unresolved problems “clog” the chakras and thereby “clog” a person’s consciousness.

First of all, unprepared people use special mantras (words or syllables that contain a special sacred meaning and are aimed at solving a particular problem). Mantras are repeated several dozen times out loud accompanied by relaxing music.

For each chakra there is a separate mantra that has its own meaning.

  1. “LAM” is the mantra for the first chakra. Its meaning is “I am who I am. I'm sure I'm loved."
  2. “MAM” is a mantra for cleansing the second chakra. The meaning of the phrase is “I love and respect myself today, just like any other day.”
  3. “RAM” - with the help of this phrase the third chakra is cleansed. “I am the author of my reality and I like it” means it.
  4. “IAM” is a syllable that is aimed at cleansing the fourth chakra. Its meaning is “I have love and complete recognition of those around me.”
  5. “HAM” - cleansing the fifth chakra is carried out with this mantra. The sacred meaning of this phrase is “I am the creator of my life. Any choice is always mine."
  6. “OM” or “AUM” are syllables with the help of which the penultimate chakra is cleansed. “Seeing the truth will not harm me” is what these phrases mean.
  7. The sedum of the last seventh chakra occurs in silence. “I feel real. I am in it” - with such a phrase a person mentally programs himself. In addition, in order to get rid of “garbage”, various ones are used.

Result

The normal functioning of all chakras can be judged by a person’s state of health, as well as his general well-being. When all padmas are revealed and not blocked, the following changes occur in life.

  1. There is a feeling of stability and stability. A person is “grounded” - he feels all the vital needs of the physical body and can satisfy them, he has enough vitality and good health.
  2. There comes an acceptance of one's sexuality. At this moment, a person begins to understand all his desires, accepts feelings and can fully enjoy all the joys of life.
  3. With the opening and cleansing of the chakras comes awareness of life's purpose. Self-confidence appears and own actions, understanding of all necessary for normal life tasks. The fear of dominating recedes and a protective barrier is formed.

  7. As the apogee of normalization of the chakras, one feels unity with the Universe and awareness of one’s own spirituality. This highest degree self-knowledge opens up to a person new world- full of wisdom and sacred meaning.

Everything around us is energy. And we ourselves are made of it. Therefore, the world is in a state of energy exchange every second.

human chakra icons and their color

Chakra means wheel in Sanskrit. It is a nerve-energy node located in or outside the body to generate energy.

The person has center channel. And all chakras are located in the center of the body. That is, not on the spine, and not on the skin.

Most chakras are paired. They radiate, that is, they turn on together, for example, Sahasrara with Svadhisthana, Ajna with Muladhara, bones, knees and feet.

When you do something on the upper chakras in the process of meditation, the lower chakras are recruited, and vice versa. Since the upper part of a person’s body represents consciousness, and the lower part represents the subconscious, it turns out that your desires/thoughts are the same in both.

Most esotericists and sites with similar topics claim that chakras work differently in men and women:

  • rotate in different directions
  • have greater or lesser strength, energy
  • some only give energy, while others only receive

Thanks to this order of things, harmonious relationships between a man and a woman. So, the second feeds the first sexual energy and heart, and the first second - from the remaining chakras.

Video: 40 human chakras - where are they located and how to work with them?

Figure 1. Human chakras their meaning, opening, cleansing and location

Have you ever thought about what human chakras are, why they are needed, where they are and how to clean them? Let's figure it out in simple language.

I think that the article should begin with the question of whether human chakras exist? After all, we don’t see them and most people don’t feel them. So, there is reason to believe that they do not exist?

Definitely not. There are a lot of things in the world that a person, unfortunately (although no, this would be more suitable for happiness) does not see or feel. These include not only some mystical things, but even simple radio waves, the existence of which no one denies today.

If we go back 500 years and talk about today’s technologies, it would most likely shock people. Some would call you crazy, others would simply not believe you. For example, let's take a telephone. Today we can talk on the phone and don’t even think about how it happens. But before this was something impossible. How? How can you conduct a dialogue over two handsets at any distance?

For some people, the human chakras represent something like a telephone for our distant ancestors. I hope that the time will come and people will realize that chakras actually exist. We may not see them, but this does not mean that they are not there.

Each of us has our own energy. And no one knows your energy better than you yourself. We cannot say unequivocally: “chakras actually exist,” however, this term defines the internal sensations of many people who have been involved in spiritual development. Chakras exist for them. Why not to the common man who is not engaged in spiritual growth, deny their existence?

What are chakras?

Chakras are psycho energy centers people, which represent the intersection of the channels through which human life energy flows. They are also called the rotating whirlpools of energy that run along our spine.

As you should already know from the article on human energy, in order to exist and interact with the world around us, we need energy. As mentioned in the above article, one of them is food. It helps us renew tissue and “build” our body. But this is clearly not enough for us. There is an opinion that we get only 20% of the energy for existence from food. Where can I get the remaining 80%?

We will discard some others and immediately say that it is the chakras that help a person absorb the energy necessary for the body from the surrounding world.

Chakras can remind us of a receiver and transmitter of the energy that surrounds us. They work with the electromagnetic field and transform it into energy that fills us with vitality.

We are surrounded by chaos of various energies. Thanks to the chakras, a person gets what he needs from this chaos. The extent to which these chakras are open is how much energy you can receive. In addition to receiving, chakras are also designed to give energy to the energy world around us.

In simpler terms, with the help of chakras a person “eats” energy from the environment and gets rid of unnecessary energy. Unnecessary human energy can be used for other purposes. For example, it is absorbed by animals, plants and objects that have an extremely low vitality coefficient (surrounding objects). In addition, the energy that comes out of one person's chakras can transfer to another.

Understanding how the chakras work can become an indispensable tool for you in understanding your inner world. Once you understand the chakra system, you can easily cope with the problems that arise in your life.

Human chakras and their meaning

Do we even need them? What is the meaning of human chakras? Let's start with the fact that if a person's chakras stopped working at the same time, he would die. After all, human chakras are energy centers, and their meaning is quite obvious. Without energy, a person cannot live.

When one or more chakras are not functioning well, a person feels a lack of something in his life (later we will look at what each chakra is responsible for).

Full and harmonious work of all chakras brings great pleasure to a person in life. Life becomes full, rich and joyful.

Chakras on the human body

Some of you may be wondering, “Are there chakras on my body?” or “Do I have all the chakras?” Definitely - YES. Absolutely everyone has chakras on the human body. The only difference is how they function. Even for a particular person, they can work differently, depending on the period of life.

Some people are lucky enough to see chakras (or this happened due to long training). They describe them as shining vortices in the form of circles that are concentrated at a point on the human body. The faster this vortex works, the more energy it can “process.”

How chakras work

A person has seven chakras in total. Each chakra operates in its own frequency range.

Figure 2. Frequency spectrum. As you can see, the colors of the spectrum correspond to the colors of the chakras

We will not delve into how a person transfers energy and information with the help of chakras, but will only say that this happens with the help of electromagnetic waves. For a more detailed consideration of this issue, you need to turn to one of the sections of physics, namely electromagnetic fields and waves.

As we have already said, chakras can carry both energy and information. The lower chakras (1-3) work mainly with energy, and the upper ones (6 and 7) work more with information. The middle chakras are a kind of balance between energy and information.

As you already know, chakras are designed to both absorb and release energy. It follows from this that they can be in one of these states, but not simultaneously, but alternating.

What are the chakras responsible for?

Each chakra is responsible for its own aspect of life. In one book I came across good example about this. Imagine that our spine is an elevator, and the chakras on our body are floors. As we rise up from the lowest chakra, we can experience life in a more beautiful way. Agree that the view from the first floor is more boring than from the seventh.

Chakras are responsible for ensuring that your life is filled with energy. And this, in turn, determines the joy, health and well-being in life.

If the work of one of the chakras is limited, you may feel a painful state, loss of strength, and a feeling of discomfort. When all chakras are blocked, physical death can occur.

First chakra Muladhara (root chakra)

Figure 3. First chakra Muladhara.

Color: red. Crystals: ruby, garnet, obsidian. Location: base of the spine.

The first chakra is called Muladhara (sometimes also called the root chakra or lower chakra). It connects the human body with the Earth. The Muladhara chakra is responsible for what a person needs first of all to survive: food, water, warmth, shelter, protection, clothing. Procreation also applies here.

In order for this chakra to be in healthy condition, you need to find a place in nature where you feel good. Some people like mountains, others like flowering gardens, some like large canyons, and others like lakes and forests. There are people who feel good only in the city. In short, you need to communicate with the nature that you like.

If a person cannot provide himself with basic necessities (food, water, shelter, clothing, etc.), then he will immediately feel the influence of the Muladhara chakra. This person simply will not be able to concentrate on anything else. Including he will not be able to engage with other chakras. The solution to this problem is obvious: you need to balance this desire for survival.

Second chakra Svadhisthana (sexual chakra / sacral chakra / sexual chakra)

Figure 4. Second chakra of Svadhisthana.

Color: orange Crystal: carnelian, amber Location: pelvic area

The Swadhisthana chakra is responsible for how satisfied you are in life. If the first chakra is limited to survival, then here you should enjoy some process.

Svadhisthana craves as much pleasure and enjoyment as possible. You can easily get used to this lifestyle: drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sex, etc. But you should not allow your second chakra to absorb all your energy.

The problem is that at the moment of pleasure you “lose your head.” All you have to do is be aware of every moment of pleasure. If you notice that you are not doing well with the second chakra, but you do nothing, then the search for pleasure in life will never end and will lead nowhere.

There is a simple way to know that the Svadhisthana chakra is not in a balanced state. Pay attention to your attractiveness. If you consider yourself naturally attractive and do not need other methods to improve your appearance, then most likely you are fine with the second chakra. Also, pay attention not to feelings of jealousy and envy. They are signals that Svadhistan is not working properly, and if at the same time your first chakra is not working well, then these feelings will intensify.

Third chakra Manipura (solar plexus)

Figure 5. Third chakra of Manipura.

Color: yellow Crystal: amber, yellow tourmaline, citrine and topaz. Location: solar plexus

The Manipura chakra is responsible for strength and self-confidence, self-control and self-discipline. One of the most important properties This chakra is the ability to choose. It helps you say “yes” when you agree and “no” when you disagree with something.

Thanks to the good work of this chakra, you will be able not to be influenced by other people and act at your own discretion, which gives us an important thing in life - freedom.

When we talked about the previous two chakras, we found out that for the first it will be enough to simply survive in this world, for the second it will be enough to enjoy, but for the third it is important that a person constantly develops his discipline and self-control.

If a person’s third chakra of Manipur is not balanced, then energy conflicts can often occur in his life, in which he supposedly receives some of his vital energy. Such a person may be called an energy vampire. On the contrary, when we see that a person knows how to concentrate and achieve the desired goal, and then take a break and enjoy the result, then this indicates a developed 3rd chakra.

If a person does not do what he likes in life, then, most likely, you can notice how this person’s Manipura chakra is not working correctly. After all, he submits to the will of another person and does not do what his own heart requires.

Fourth chakra Anahata (heart chakra)

Figure 6. Fourth chakra Anahata.

Color: green. Crystal: aventurine, rose quartz. Location: heart

The fourth chakra, Anahata, is responsible for bringing Love into your life. Awakening love in your heart is one of the most important goals in human life.

The Anahata chakra is the middle chakra on the human body, which separates the three lower chakras from the three upper ones. This is the first energy center of a person, which is aimed not at personal energy, but at an attempt to erase the line between people in the world and feel the unity of nature.

The heart is the place that connects your ego and your spiritual life. In addition, according to some assumptions, this is also the place where the human soul lives.

Are you ready to take care of other people without demanding anything from them in return? If yes, then most likely you understand what love is.

If you sometimes have moments when, feeling complete harmony, you begin to perform good deeds, then this can be called the first awakening of the fourth chakra of love.

By inducing a state of harmony, joy, and love for others, you thereby attract everything to yourself. more people in whom you cause similar conditions.

If the fourth chakra is unbalanced, then it will be difficult for you to refuse another person and you will begin to indulge the demands of others, which will not always be best for you. You may be haunted by feelings of guilt and shame, which cannot be classified as positive feelings.

To move up a level from the third to the fourth chakra, you will need a lot of time and effort. You will have to develop a love for life and realize that the world is tripled as one.

Fifth chakra Vishuddha (throat chakra)

Figure 7. Fifth chakra Vishuddha.

Color: sky blue Crystal: celestine, aquamarine, chrysoprase Location: neck

The fifth chakra, Vishuddha, is responsible for your creative abilities. Each person has a certain creative gift and talent. However, not all people discover it for themselves and, accordingly, do not take full advantage of it.

A developed and balanced Vishuddha chakra allows a person to behave creatively. Music, drawing, and dancing become accessible thanks to this energy center. When performing creative work, a person feels inspired and joyful from his work.

In addition, a person uses his fifth chakra when solving any problems. Sometimes a solution comes to your mind spontaneously. These moments are called eureka moments.

If the discovery and normal functioning of the fifth center indicates that a person has realized his uniqueness and originality, comprehended his knowledge about the world around him and brought it into his truth, then there is a downside. The imbalance of the center can be noticed when a person deliberately tries to resist the opinions of others. If someone expresses his view on certain things, then such a person will definitely say: “No, you are wrong. I am right.”

Also, a violation of the functioning of the Vishuddha chakra can be indicated by a situation in which a person cannot express his opinion because he believes that it is not correct or is not interesting to anyone.

Sixth chakra Ajna (third eye chakra)

Figure 8. Sixth chakra Ajna.

Color: blue Crystals: fluorite, indigo tourmaline Location: forehead, point above the bridge of the nose

The sixth chakra, Ajna, is responsible for your fantasies and imaginary world. Its awakening occurs when you seek to understand the mysteries of the world and the meaning of life. The Ajna chakra is responsible for bringing inspiration and grace into your life, which will allow you to escape from the reality of everyday life.

To get your sixth chakra in order, you will need creative discipline and spiritual maturity.

Proper functioning of the Ajna chakra brings harmony and pleasure into your life. In addition, this chakra influences a person’s intuition. By trusting her, you will notice that you no longer need to make efforts to accomplish anything you have planned in life. It may seem to you that all situations are adjusted to you and you appear in right time in the right place. To do this, you will have to go through a difficult and painstaking path of working on yourself.

If you have lost or still have not found the meaning of life, then you should concentrate on the sixth chakra of Ajdna. You can use runes or tarot cards to get answers. You will be given enough opportunities in life. The main thing is that you want to use them yourself.

The “third eye” effect or distortion of reality can be achieved with the help of alcohol and drugs. But this feeling will be false. However, these states show how the sixth chakra works.

Seventh chakra Sahasrara (crown chakra)

Figure 9. Seventh chakra Sahasrara.

Color: Purple or White Crystal: Clear Quartz Location: Top of head

The seventh chakra Sahasrara is responsible for connections with the Divine, the disclosure of spiritual potential, and insight. The author of one of the books about human chakras suggested that people who are now in a psychiatric hospital (not all, of course) have reached this level of consciousness. But they are not connected with the lower chakras, so they can live in their own reality, which differs from ours.

People who have completely passed the path of development from the lower chakras to the upper Sahasrara chakra begin to live under the guidance of God, while drawing energy from an infinite source.

People are not able to fully achieve the level of balance of the sixth chakra. And if it is given, then only to a few. However, sometimes a person may feel the short-term influence of this chakra. After such influence, priorities and outlook on life change.

Living, being aware of and working on the 7th chakra means living with faith and serving God. For most people, giving up the security and most precious things in life is a huge sacrifice. But this is only at first glance so. By reaching the consciousness of the highest chakra, you will receive much more in life than you had before.

Location of chakras on the human body

Figure 10. Location of chakras using the example of a skeleton

Each chakra is a small rotating cone (about 3-5 centimeters in diameter)

Figure 11. The chakra looks like a rotating cone.

Chakra colors

All 7 chakras have different color, which corresponds to the colors of the rainbow (red orange yellow green blue blue purple).

Figure 12. Chakra meditation

Working with chakras can be done through meditation. The main thing to understand here is that a person can experience for a moment the work of any of the seven chakras. But without meditation you will not be able to hold this moment for long. You need to find a strong connection between all the chakras, and working with the chakras in the form of meditation can help with this. Remember that just knowing about the chakras is not enough, they need to be experienced and felt.

The first thing you have to do when working with chakras is to develop the ability to feel them and understand the impact on your life.

To work with the chakras you need peace of mind. This is perhaps the most important requirement to begin to become aware of and move through the chakra system.

Conclusions

Chakras are human energy centers in the form of small cones that supply energy to a person and get rid of unnecessary energy. Chakras are extremely important for humans, because it is through them that we receive the main amount of energy, which in turn we need for existence.

Poor functioning of one of the chakras can lead to diseases and undesirable consequences for a person. Since energy is primary, and the physical body is built in the likeness of the energetic body, various diseases can be treated by restoring the chakras.
