The legendary festival, which needs no introduction, is one of the main sources of income for Hungarian tourism. Sziget, which by the way is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, is regularly recognized as the best festival in Europe; last year it attracted about half a million people from 95 countries! People go to Liberty Island not so much for the atmosphere, but for the atmosphere, which is truly special here. In addition to the main stages, Sziget has a lot of thematic ones, designed for a specific target audience - for example, metalheads, clubbers, fans of black music, gays, etc. And besides music, you can find almost anything here - from pottery courses and Falun Dafa followers to vibrant theatrical performances and film screenings. The infrastructure at the campsite is well developed - there are storage rooms, telephone recharging stations and all the necessary amenities. The center of Budapest is 20 minutes by train. A large-scale Ukrainian festival with camping on the shore of a lake in the picturesque village of Rodatichi near Lviv. This year's Zaxidfest, which usually specializes in heavy acts, will feature performances from reunited American alternative rockers Breaking Benjamin and venerable German folk metallers In Extremo, among others. And yet, perhaps the most titled participant of the fest can be called one of the main post-punk revival bands, the British Editors, on whom a whole generation of indie kids grew up. On the small island of Óbuda, right in the middle of the Danube between the Buda and Pest sides of the Hungarian capital, the main musical event of central Europe has been taking place since 1993. Every year more than 400 thousand music lovers from all over the world come to Sziget to listen good music, and at the same time spend time in Budapest. Among the headliners of 2016 are the most diverse artists: Rihanna, Sia, Muse, David Guetta, Noel Gallagher, Sigur Ross, the Lumineers, Sum 41, Die Antwoord, Chvrches, Kodaline, and also known to Russian listeners “Leningrad” and Therr Maitz. Flow Festival (Finland). A huge open-air right in the center of Helsinki since 2005 combines the music of famous musicians and visual art. Performances by world stars are accompanied by video installations by European artists.
