The Concert Symphony Orchestra of the Moscow Conservatory was created in September 2007 on the initiative of the State Prize laureate, People's Artist of the USSR, Professor Gennady Nikolaevich Rozhdestvensky and the rector of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky (2005-2009), People's Artist of Russia, Professor Tigran Abramovich Alikhanov . The orchestra was led by Honored Artist of Russia, Professor Anatoly Abramovich Levin.
