Theater screen

The screen is the basis of the puppet theater in kindergarten. Her appearance depends on the type of theater. This could simply be a fabric curtain that can be used to cover the hole under the table. In this case, all actions will take place at the level of the table top. You can also make a dollhouse out of fabric with your own hands, the patterns for which you can draw yourself. If you make a puppet theater on your fingers with your own hands or will use glove puppets, then you will need a table screen. It can be made from different materials.

A plywood screen will turn out to be very light, and it will last for many years. To make it you need to prepare:

• plywood;
• jigsaw;
• wallpaper or fabric;
• door hinges.

1. Cut 3 blanks from the main material, that is, one central part and two sidewalls. They need to be covered with fabric or wallpaper.
2. After all three parts are dry, they need to be connected using door hinges. This will allow you to close the screen and fold it.

In a similar way, you can make a screen from cardboard. However, it is recommended to make it three-layer, which will significantly increase the strength of the structure. It is not necessary to connect the parts with door hinges; they can simply be sewn together.

The age of children who go to kindergarten places special demands on the action itself. For a theatrical performance, it is recommended to choose simple, uncomplicated plots that are nevertheless capable of teaching important life things. Gradually, the repertoire can be increased, while periodically returning to already staged performances. The peculiarity of children is that they quickly get tired and stop paying attention to some subject. This means that the duration of the performance should not exceed 10-15 minutes. You can draw pictures for display yourself (these are plots or characters from fairy tales, stories), or you can cut them out of old books that can no longer be restored. They are glued onto thin cardboard, and with reverse side flannel is also glued on. Although today magnetic theater is more relevant and practical.

Theater on hand.

1. Finger Theater. These are dolls made of fabric, glued from paper or knitted from wool and thread, foam rubber. Figures can be made in the form of cones, cylinders, rings. The pattern follows the contour of the child's elongated finger. The doll should fit freely on any finger of the puppeteer's hand. The character's face can be embroidered, glued or sewn on using buttons, beads, threads, ropes, pieces of wool, colored paper, fabric. Older children can make such toys on their own. Now let's get down to creating and decorating the theater hall. We'll cut a rectangular hole on the front of the larger box. Thus we open the scene.

To prevent the bottom of the box from puffing up, glue a rectangle cut off from the front side onto it. English-Russian dictionary will help press the cardboard and facilitate the gluing process.

Finally, the bottom stuck, we removed the dictionary. About 20 minutes passed. We cut holes on the roof of the house through which we will lower the characters of the play onto the stage.

We glue the details onto the far wall of the theater. A solid canvas, of course, would look better, but we don’t have such material. You'll have to make do with what's available. In the end, the background looks great.

Let's continue to create. It was the turn of the high snowdrifts. We also cut them out from leftover cardboard.

Using a stencil or compass, circles of different diameters are cut out, cut in half and glued together in the form of a cone - this is the character’s body. The head is made of newsprint, which is torn into small pieces and filled with water. When the paper gets wet, excess water drain, add flour in a 3:1 ratio (3 parts newsprint, 1 part flour) and knead the dough. Roll the dough into balls, put them on a cone and sculpt a head. The heads should dry on the cone. After the heads dry, they are removed, and the cone is decorated with lace, braid, various fabrics, beads, etc., depending on the character. All decorative elements glued with PVA glue. You can make slits on the cones and insert handles, paws or tails. When the body is ready, the doll's head is glued onto the cone.

• Foam dolls

First of all, the pieces of foam rubber need to be painted. This is done with aniline dyes dissolved in water. The foam rubber must be dipped into the dye solution several times, squeezing it out each time. After drying, the foam rubber is given the shape necessary for the doll: cuts are made, constrictions are made, some parts can be sewn.

The process of making such dolls completely depends on the imagination of the master; we will look at just a few examples. We sew a stocking or a piece of tights to the glove, and glue or sew beads (eyes) to the heel - we get a snake. The snake can crawl and talk thanks to the movement of its hand.

You can sew an animal from two gloves; to do this, we tie one of the gloves together. middle finger with the index finger, and the ring finger with the little finger. We fold the glove and hide the extra parts inside, cut off thumb. We pull back the ears (the ends of the ring and middle fingers) and sew the parts together. So we have the head of the animal; we sew it to the middle finger of the second glove. We sew the thumb of the first one onto the second glove - this is the tail of the animal. All that remains is to sew on the eyes and nose (beads), change the shape of the head and tail. If you put the doll on your hand, then all its parts (head, tail and legs) will be movable.

The mitten can represent the whole doll, in which case the thumb can be the tail, or just the doll’s head, then the thumb is the nose.

Making decorations
