PART ONE
I'll start this tutorial with the most popular question I get: "how to draw a woman's breasts" (heh, I never thought I'd be writing a tutorial about that... ^_^). The most important thing here is to try to draw the breasts as natural as possible, because you can draw pretty girl without silicone implants, as one of my friends does. ^_^
The main problems that people have when drawing breasts are their shape and position. Many artists (both professionals and beginners) draw them as balls that rest on the girl’s chin; These breasts are far from natural. If you look at anatomy books, you will see that they are more like halves of a sphere or inverted cups, but not like balls.
Next, pay attention to the pose. Imagine a line that runs down the center of the body. The breasts should be at an angle of 45 degrees from this line, and half below the rib cage (these are the red diagonal lines in the photo). Make sure that the breasts are not too close or too far apart, or too high from the chest; this is the most common mistakes. As you'll see in the rest of the drawings in this tutorial, the 45 degree rule applies to almost all poses.
Here's another pose where the torso is visible from the front. Notice how the breasts are still positioned at a 45-degree angle to the centerline of the body. Oh, also pay attention to the shadows. After looking at some examples, I noticed that shading the chest in this manner makes them look more natural look than if you shaded them as spherical shapes.
Here's one last pose to demonstrate the size and position of the breasts. It's not as clear here, but even here the chest is at a 45 degree angle from the center line (which I didn't draw in this example, sorry ^_^). Note that the left breast is shaped like a hemisphere rather than a full sphere. If you want to increase your breast size, that's up to you, but I don't think it's necessary.
Now let's move on to the neck and shoulders. When you draw the shoulders, pay attention to the fact that they fall smoothly, they are not flat. Try not to forget about the structure of the neck and shoulder muscles, especially if you are going to create a realistic image. They should be shaped like hangers rather than flat surfaces.
Here are some more examples of drawing shoulders in different poses. Note that they are never flat or shapeless.
Something else I wanted to talk about in this topic is how to draw a torso with your arms raised ^_^. Personally, this sometimes turns out to be a difficult task for me, so I decided to touch on this aspect. If you raise your hands up, then rear end the body becomes wider. Although a woman's torso is not as massive as a man's, it still expands. Don't make your upper body too narrow. Notice also how the upper part of the right chest curves inward (toward the ribcage); don't forget that it's not a complete sphere, so it attaches to the shoulder muscles.
To understand how to draw anime, you need to understand some important issues:
Already drew +23 I want to draw +23 Thank you + 61
The simplest body has skeletal structure. The idea is to try to add volume to a drawn flat image.
Let's try to place the character in a cube, the base of which will be the area under the soles of the feet.
One of the most difficult tasks when drawing the body is drawing in perspective. Using a cube around your character can help you do this.
Human skeleton and its structure
Let's take a look at the human skeleton and try to draw it.
Drawing the lower part of the skeleton will allow you to show more natural body movement by conveying body rotation and weight distribution.
Drawing with blocks
Imagine that the joints and stomach are spheres. When drawing occurs through the use of shapes and spheres, the future outlines of the muscles are immediately determined. In addition, this way you can feel the three-dimensional structure of the body.
Look carefully at how the collarbone is attached.
Pay attention to the angle of the shoulders and their projection, visible from the selected view.
If you can't imagine the projection of the shoulders on the other side, just use a 3D surface to indicate the shape.
Female body in blocks
The blocks are just guide lines used for your convenience. So don't get hung up on drawing them.
Pay attention to drawing the sides. Men's hamstrings are usually drawn longer, while women's hamstrings are shorter and flow more quickly into the thighs.
Do you want to draw well? You should always be aware of the invisible parts of the body you are drawing.
Drawing movement
When it is necessary to draw a human body in motion, the central line of the spine and the curve of movement are taken as a basis. The center line separates the right and left side body, thereby creating a balancing state. It goes both in front and behind.
Pay special attention to the movement in the waist area.
Draw the center line on visible side bodies.
Picture the center line as running along the direction the character is moving. It may well be that the center line on the visible side of the body will coincide with the curve of movement.
Using a motion curve will help you draw the correct body position and make it easier to work with the character's movements.
Drawing from the corner
Very large number poses can be drawn using the shape method, however the best option there will be a combination of viewing angle and skeletal method.
It will be easier to draw if you base the pose on the position of the spine.
Standard male body shape
Below are the most important things to remember when drawing the male body.
- Watch the position of the elbow when the hand is at its highest point.
- Consider the radius of movement of the elbow and shoulder.
- Correct placement of the clavicle and sternum muscles.
- The trapezius (muscle) contracts and tenses when moving.
- The area of the sternum coincides with the area of narrowing of the arms.
- The crotch has a small gap between the thighs when the legs are together, and when the legs are apart the gap increases, but never draw the crotch as shown in the picture above (bottom, small).
When you cannot decide on the length of your arms in their horizontal position, use a guide line. This will make it easier to show the length of the arm parts. Another way to represent the length of the deltoid is by adding a little length of the biceps and the hinge (elbow).
Now let's look from the back
The muscles on the side in which the tilt is performed are compressed.
- On the other side, the muscles, on the contrary, stretch.
- If you look at the shoulder blades from a slightly different position, they look very much like a face. Try to use this interesting feature.
- Deformation of a body always occurs when it moves (tilts, turns).
- The shoulder blades rise when the arm goes up.
Now let's take a side view
Remember that standard size brushes - the character's face. The brush should cover it almost completely in height.
The length of the forearm is equal to the length of 1 and a half heads. The length of the rest is 2 heads.
The length of the foot is equal to one head and this length also includes the length of the toes.
The shoulders can move back and forth, but only slightly.
When the body is tilted, the shoulders drop and move forward.
On the other hand, when the body is tilted backward, the shoulders also move backward.
Difference between male and female body
Women have narrower shoulders and chest, but women's pelvis is superior to men's.
- The female pelvic bone reaches the navel and the waist line also crosses the navel. Highest point pelvic bone crosses the navel line.
- The male body is based on the shape of an inverted triangle, while female forms more rounded and resemble a bowling pin.
Proportions
Body proportion is determined by the number of heads that will fit into his height, so first you should ask yourself how many heads your character will be.
Overseas culture always arouses unprecedented interest. Most often we are interested in the Land of the Rising Sun. Extraordinary and refined cuisine, high level life, technical inventions, animated series. For lovers Japanese cartoons we will tell you how to draw an anime body.
Anime is Japanese animated films, the plot of which is designed for teenagers and adult audience spectators. In such cartoons we are surprised by the characters, their faces, clothes, figures. Fans of creativity have long been engaged in depicting anime characters on canvas. Today we will tell you how to draw an anime girl's body step by step. Pick up a pencil and paint your picture.
If you watch Japanese anime, you know that Sasuke is famous character from the Uchiha clan. Using this hero as an example, we will show how to draw the body of an anime guy. You will see how, step by step, individual points and lines turn into three-dimensional cartoon character.
To draw a sketch of a wardrobe item, you must first draw a body. Today we are talking about drawing characters in anime style, so we will learn how to draw appropriate clothes. Most often characters Japanese anime depicted in school uniform or kimono. You can show your imagination, and our master class will tell you how to draw anime clothes.
Drawing Lessons - Manga and Anime
The body has a skeletal structure. We need to add volume to the flat drawing.
Let's place our image or character in a cube, the base of which is the area under our feet.
The most difficult task in depicting the body - drawing in perspective. That's what we use the cube for.
Human skeleton and its structure
Let's look at the skeleton and start drawing.
By distributing body weight and turning the body, the correct image of the lower body can be achieved.
We draw with blocks.
If you imagine that the joint and stomach of a person are spheres, then you can immediately imagine the outlines of the muscles. In the same way, you can feel the three-dimensional structure of the human body.
Note the attachment of the collarbone.
Carefully consider the angle of the shoulders and their projection.
Use a 3D surface to make it easier to imagine the shoulder from the other side and indicate its shape.
Let's consider female body in blocks
Attention is paid to the sides. Women's posterior muscles, unlike men's, in short. They quickly move into the thighs.
To draw correctly, you need to remember about the parts of the body that are not visible.
Drawing movement
To correctly draw a human body in motion, you need to take the center line of the person’s spine and the curve of movement. The spine line separates the left and right side human body. Balance is created, the line runs both in front and behind.
Attention should be paid to the waist. The center line should run along the visible side of the body.
The center line should run along the direction of movement of the person depicted. The line may even coincide with the movement curve.
The motion curve helps depict the position of the body in motion.
Drawing from the corner
Poses can be depicted using the form method. A more successful option would be to combine the skeletal method and viewing angle.
To make it easier, you need to base the pose on the spine.
Normal male body shape
Here are the things used to depict the male body that you need to remember:
- elbow position when raising the arm;
- radius of movement of the shoulder and elbow;
- the muscles of the sternum and clavicle must be correctly positioned;
- muscles tense during movement;
- the area of the sternum and the area of constriction of the arms coincide;
- when the legs are together, there is a small gap between the thighs. If your legs are apart, the gap between your thighs increases. Never draw a crotch like in the picture (pictures above).
If you have difficulty with the length of your arms in a horizontal position, then you should use a guide line. It makes it possible to show the length of a part of a person’s arm. You can also choose how to add length to the biceps and elbow (hinge).
Now let's look from the back
- when bending, the muscles contract in the direction of the tilt.
- muscles stretch on the opposite side.
- the shoulder blades can be compared to the face.
- when a body is in motion, it is deformed.
- if the arm is raised up, the shoulder blade rises.
Now let's take a side view
Important! The face of the character being drawn is the size of the hand; it should cover the depicted face almost completely in height.
The forearm is equal to 1.5 times the length of the head, and the rest is equal to 2 heads.
The length of the foot and fingers is equal to the head.
