Yegor Druzhinin was born in the spring of 1972. His family was quite famous in his native Leningrad. A particularly popular person was his father, the legendary choreographer Vladislav Yuryevich Druzhinin. At that time, Druzhinin Sr. worked at the Komisarzhevskaya Theater in Leningrad, as well as at the Kvadrat pantomime studio, receiving stormy applause from the public everywhere.

To a large extent, it was the father’s personality that influenced our today’s hero so much. He watched his father's success and dreamed of one day doing something equally grandiose. However, it is worth noting that the relationship with dancing developed among young guy is by no means as smooth as one might think. As a child, despite his father’s persuasion, he flatly refused to study dance art. But some time later, after Druzhinin Sr. began to say that time was lost, in defiance of him he enrolled in a ballet school.

Going back a little, we note that by this time Yegor was already quite famous in the art world. However, in early childhood he was more fascinated not by dancing, but great movie. Back in 1983, an eleven-year-old boy played the main role in the film “The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin.” This acting work brought him enormous success and soon made him one of the most famous actors of his generation. Another painting, “Petrov and Vasechkin’s Vacation,” also contributed to consolidating its popularity.

The release of this film took place in 1984, however, despite the overall success of the story about two teenagers, there was a long break in Yegor Druzhinin’s career after the end of filming.

But the actor did not lose heart and did not give up. In his later interviews, he repeatedly said that for him, filming those films was simply an excellent excuse to skip school. Besides, enthusiastic teachers always forgave to the young actor any misdeeds and pranks. Perhaps that is why Yegor graduated from school without a single C grade.

After school, our today's hero entered Leningrad state institute theater, music and cinematography, and at the same time began to seriously study dancing. After several years of study in the USA, the artist returned to St. Petersburg, where he began working as a choreographer.
